Star Staffing Alpena is seeking a State Certified Mechanic for a great full-time opportunity with a local employer. If you’re an experienced mechanic who enjoys diagnosing problems, working on a variety of vehicles and heavy equipment, and takes pride in quality workmanship, we’d like to hear from you!

🛠️ Responsibilities Include:

🚛 Repairing and maintaining pickups, trucks, heavy road construction equipment, and specialty equipment
⚙️ Diagnosing and repairing gas and diesel engines
🔩 Servicing transmissions, differentials, brakes, hydraulic systems, and electrical components
❄️ Working on cooling and air conditioning systems
🔥 Performing welding and general equipment maintenance
📋 Maintaining accurate service records and working closely with the maintenance team

✅ Qualifications:

✔️ State Certified Mechanic required
✔️ High school diploma or equivalent
✔️ Five years of experience repairing heavy-duty trucks and equipment preferred
✔️ Strong knowledge of gas and diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, and diagnostics
✔️ Supervisory experience is a plus
✔️ Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment
✔️ Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills
✔️ Willingness to work extended hours when needed
